The Company’s flagship coal project is the Vista Coal Project (Vista), which is an open pit mine, a thermal coal project. Vista is located in the Coal Branch Region near Hinton, Alberta. Coalspur also owns the Vista South Coal Project (Vista South) located directly south of the Project. As of June 30, 2011, Coalspur owned, or had interest in, 33,271 hectares of contiguous coal exploration leases, which hosted marketable coal reserves of 260.1 metric tons and measured and indicated coal resources of 1,078.7 metric tons. As of June 30, 2011, it acquired additional coal leases on Vista and Vista South. covering 8,624 hectares. Its wholly owned subsidiaries include Coalspur Mines (Holdings) Pty Ltd, Kep Pty Ltd and Coalspur Mines (Operations) Ltd.
