Business Summary
Galileo Japan Trust (the Trust) invests in a diverse portfolio of real estate assets in Japan. The Trust operates in six segments: retail/leisure, which includes assets used for purposes of retail, food and entertainment purposes, including regional and sub regional shopping centers; office, which includes assets predominantly occupied as office space; residential segment includes assets utilized for residential purposes; mixed use, which includes assets with a mix of uses, including retail, residential and sports centers, and industrial and hotel. The Trust holds 100% beneficial interest in Central Master Godo Kaisha, which is the Tokumei Kumiai (TK) Operator. As of June 30, 2010, it had interests in 26 properties, of which nine were office properties; nine retail/mixed properties; five residential properties, and three hotel/industrial properties. Galileo Japan Funds Management Limited is the responsible entity for the Trust. In December 2011, it acquired Asakusa Vista Hotel, Tokyo.

Financial Summary
BRIEF: For the six months ended 31 December 2011, Galileo Japan Trust's revenues decreased 4% to A$37.5M. Net loss increased from A$8.4M to A$30.6M. Total revenue reflects lower rental income, decrease of gain on derivative financial instruments and interest and other income. Net loss reflects increase in ASX & other expenses, higher loss on investment property revaluation and presence of loss on sale of investment property.
