St Barbara Limited is engaged in mining and the sale of gold, mineral exploration and development. The Company operates in two segments: Leonora and Southern Cross Operations. The Leonora Operation comprise the Gwalia 1.2 ton per annum processing plant and the Gwalia underground mine, as well as nearby development opportunities. The Gwalia mine is located three kilometers south of the town of Leonora, Western Australia. The Southern Cross Operations comprise the Marvel Loch 2.2 million ton per annum processing facility, the Marvel Loch underground mine and a number of development opportunities. The two gold operations produce in aggregate over 250,000 ounces of gold per annum. The Company evaluates opportunities in a range of belts throughout Australia, and has land holdings in the Gawler Block of South Australia and the East Lachlan Belt in New South Wales.

Financial Summary
BRIEF: For the six months ended 31 December 2011, St. Barbara Limited's revenues increased 41% to A$252.1M. Net income increased 12% to A$46.5M. Revenues reflect an increase from Gwalia and King of the Hills geographic segment. Net income was partially offset by higher exploration expense, corporate administration costs, royalties, depreciation and amortization and other expenditure.
