Business Summary
ZYL Limited is an Australia-based coal exploration and development company operating in South Africa. The Company owns up to 50.12% interest in the Kangwane Anthracite Coal Project, which is located in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa, approximately 100 kilometers from the coast by rail to the Matola Terminal at Maputo Port in Mozambique. The Kangwane Project has a Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC) compliant resource of 114.1 metric tons (Mt) with a measured resource of 21.4 Mt and an exploration target of 400 Mt to 450 Mt at an expected calorific value of 6,635 kilocalories (kcal) to 6,712 kcal. On February 22, 2011, the Company exercised the Exsteen Option to acquire 100% of the issued capital of Exsteen Pty Ltd, the holder of the joint venture at the Kangwane Project. The Company's other projects include the Southern Anthracite Project, which is located approximately 25 kilometers to the south of the Company's Kangwane Project, and the Mbila Anthracite Project.
