Matrix Composites & Engineering Ltd is engaged in the manufacture and sale of syntactic foam buoyancy and polyurethane products, and fabricated metal products, and development of the Company’s leasehold property in the Australian Marine Complex (AMC) in Henderson, Western Australia. It has three segments: Composite Materials Business Unit, Offshore Services and Engineering Business Unit, and Other and unallocated. Composite Materials Business Unit designs, manufactures and supplies buoyancy systems, pipeline insulation, pipeline and riser protection, riser ancillaries and a range of down hole products to the offshore oil and gas industry. It also supplies product solutions for military and other commercial applications. The Offshore Services and Engineering business unit manufactures and supplies connectors, conductors and casing, offshore structures, subsea skids and manifolds. Other and unallocated comprises activities undertaken by all other Business Units and corporate costs.

Financial Summary
BRIEF: For the fiscal year ended 30 June 2011, Matrix Composites & Engineering Limited's revenue increased 82% to A$187.3M. Net income increased 85% to A$33.6M. Revenues reflect a significant rise in income from Composite Materials business segment. Net income also reflects a significant rise in foreign currency gain and a substantial increase in revenue from net unrealized gain on revaluation of financial instruments.
