Business Summary
GrainCorp Limited is engaged in provision of services to the grain storage and handling, and grain processing sectors, including receival, handling and storage of grain and other bulk commodities for growers and end users through GrainCorp upcountry receival sites, rail and road freight services and port exporting facilities; production of malt for the brewery and distillery industries, flour milling for human consumption, and grain marketing/trading activities, including domestic and international sales and the operation of grain pools. The Company’s segments include storage and logistics, ports, marketing and malt. On November 13, 2009, it acquired United Malt Holdings Group, consisting of four operating businesses - Canada Malting Company, Great Western Malting, Bairds Malt, and Barrett Burston Malting. On July 2, 2010, it acquired 100% of the Brewcraft USA business. In April 2011, it acquired a malt plant in Perth. In July 2011, it acquired GermanMalt GmbH & Co KG.

Financial Summary
BRIEF: For the fiscal year ended 31 March 2011, GrainCorp Limited's revenues increased 52% to A$1.41B. Net income from continuing operation increased 66% to A$87.7M. Revenues reflects the presence of income from malt business segment. Net income was partially offset by an increase in raw materials and consumables used, a rise in employee benefits expense, higher other expenses and higher depreciation and amortization expenses.
