Discovery Metals Limited (Discovery Metals) is a copper exploration and development company. The principal activities include the acquisition, exploration, development and mining of mineral properties. Discovery Metals business units include the 100% owned Boseto copper project in north-west Botswana, and the 85% owned Dikoloti Nickel Project in eastern Botswana, an exploration joint venture with Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC). The Company is focused on the emerging Kalahari Copperbelt in northwest Botswana. As of June 30, 2011, the Company was developing its 100% owned Boseto Copper Project. Discovery Metals has prospecting licenses covering 8,877 square kilometers along the Kalahari Copperbelt. The Company’s interest in the Dikoloti Nickel project has been diluted to 40%. On January 4, 2011, it was granted 16 new Prospecting Licenses (PLs) in southern Botswana.
